KNOWLEDGE OF THE NURSING PAD INDUSTRY
Breastfeeding pad (or breast pad) is a cloth or disposable pad that is attached to the nipple and breast of a breastfeeding mother to absorb any milk that may leak between feedings. It is inserted between the bra and the breast.
Disposable nursing pads are very common and can be easily found online or in maternity and baby stores. Reusable anti overflow pads can be cleaned and reused multiple times, making them more cost-effective. Changing the mat when wet can keep the nipple clean and dry
TYPE
Breast pads come in different shapes and sizes, and can be disposable or reusable. They can be shaped like breasts or secured in place with tape. There are 4 types of care pads: disposable, reusable, silicone and hydrogel.
DISPOSABLE NURSING PAD
Disposable care pads are disposable and can be thrown away immediately after getting wet. They come in various shapes, sizes, and thicknesses. There is a plastic lining inside to prevent leakage. It is very convenient to carry and most suitable for travel because they do not require cleaning. However, in the long run, they may be expensive and not environmentally friendly. Disposable breastfeeding pads can also retain moisture when worn for a long time, causing nipple pain. Suggest frequent replacement.
REUSABLE NURSING PAD
Reusable breastfeeding pads with skin friendly layer made of bamboo fiber, ultra-fine lining, and PUL outer layer, available in various shapes, sizes, and thicknesses. In the long run, washable breast patches are both environmentally friendly and economically efficient. It can be hand washed or machine washed. However, when dirty mats are in the laundry room, it is important to ensure that multiple mats are purchased. However, some women complain that reusable care pads often shift.

SILICONE NURSING PAD
Silicone care pads are made of medical grade soft silicone. They are not absorbent, but they apply slight pressure to the breasts to prevent leakage. They have a sticky surface that directly adheres to the breast. They can be paired with or without bras and are very thin. They can also be paired with transparent evening gowns and swimsuits. However, some women may find that silicone care pads can become irritable during postpartum and breastfeeding periods due to increased sensitivity of the skin around the breasts.
HYDROGEL NURSING PAD
The hydrogel care pad is not used to prevent leakage, but is used to treat irritation and pain around the nipple. These pads can be stored in the refrigerator for future use in relieving breast discomfort.
Everything has two sides, both advantages and disadvantages. Choosing the right one is the best!
